Hello and welcome to the very first posting of
Conbrio Online (the Latest News
for the City Of Burnie Brass Band). Think of this as an
online version of Conbrio (the official newsletter for
the City Of Burnie Brass Band). This page will endeavour to keep
all band members and other interested parties posted on all the
latest goings on for the band, so be sure to check it now and
again to make sure you are up to date. In addition band members
should also continue to check the White boards in the band room
for upcoming playouts and events.
The first item on the agenda is to welcome you all to the
Official web site of the City of Burnie Brass band (CBBB). This
site has been planned for quite some time and has now finally
come to fruition. If you have any ideas on ways to improve it or
extra features that could be included then
contact us with your
suggestions.
The band has just competed in the National Band
Championships that were held in Hobart from April 2-5. The
championships were a success and well run. We were reasonably
pleased with our performance in the C Grade Brass section. The
highlights for us were coming 1st in the Hymn section of the C
Grade contest and 2nd out of 6 C Grade bands in the Drill
section of the Street March.
