Hello and welcome to another addition of Con Brio Online (The Latest News for the City of Burnie Brass Band). As usual this page endeavours to keep you up to date with the latest goings on with the band, so be sure to check it out now and again to make sure you are up to date. In addition Band Members should check out the White boards in the band room for upcoming playouts and events.

With the State Band championships now out of the way the band can now concentrate on other upcoming playouts and events. One of these is the Get Reel'n concert to be held in the Theatre of the Burnie Arts and Functions Centre on November 6. The music we play in our section of the concert includes a couple of movements from 'Doctor Who', an arrangement of 'Flower of Scotland' and the 'Derry Hornpipe' from 'Celtic Moods' which will feature dancing from a talented dance group. The band will be playing at the beginning of the 2nd half of the concert which should be around 9:00PM. Also coming up soon will be a Lions Club function in the Theatre of the Burnie Arts and Functions Centre on Friday November 12. The band will start playing at around 7:15PM as delegates enter for the function. We shall be playing music on the stage behind the speakers podium and the various flags that have been set up for the event. Lastly the band shall play in the Gazebo of the Burnie Rhododendron Gardens on Sunday November 14 at 1:30PM. The afternoon will also feature performances from both the Burnie Highland Pipe Band and the Ulverstone Municipal Band as well as a combined performance involving all three groups.

A reminder that a new feature called the Music Library has been added to the main menu on the side of this web page. It is currently a work in progress, but will eventually list All the Music that currently exists in the CBBB library. Also there has been Mp3 music files added for download in the Media section. They are recordings from a concert the band did back in 1995 at the Star of the Sea church.
