Hello and welcome to another addition of Con Brio Online (The Latest News for the City of Burnie Brass Band). As usual this page endeavours to keep you up to date with the latest goings on with the band, so be sure to check it out now and again to make sure you are up to date. In addition Band Members should check out the White boards in the band room for upcoming playouts and events.

On Thursday August 4, 2011 at 9:00PM the Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held at the CBBB band room. The meeting was attended by a number of people including the out going President Sandra French. Sandra had already extended her period she had intended to remain as president several years for the benefit of the band, but finally relinquished the role at this years AGM. Congratulations must now go to Christine Bentley who was appointed unopposed as the New President of the CBBB. In addition there were several other changes to the standard office Bearers within the band. However one position that is proving problematic is the position of Treasurer. The were no nominations for this position at the AGM and it currently remains unfilled.

The minutes of the 2010 AGM were not available for the 2011 AGM, but when they are located they may be presented to those who attended the 2011 AGM via E-mail. A number of items were discussed at the meeting including a motion to raise the annual Subs fee for Adults to $90 and Families to $150. The motion was carried. In addition committee members presented their various reports. Some reports spoke of the bands various achievements, acquisitions (e.g.. A Euphonium and a Soprano Cornet) and various other issues.

19/08/2011 - Don't forget about the Annual Dinner & Presentation of Awards to be held at the Burnie RSL Club on Sunday, August 28, 2011. Guests should arrive around 12PM for a 12:30PM start. The cost for Adults is $26 per person and Children (16 and under) is $16 per person for the two course meal. RSVP by August 21 to either Kathy Bentley on 6433 3344, Jenni Watts on 6431 7707 or send notification of your RSVP to PO Box 288 Burnie.

	*The Celtic Force concerts have been held for this year and once again they were a big success. Thanks to all those who participated in this event.
	*The Annual Dinner has also been held for this year and congratulations must go to Michael Bousfield (left) who is the 2011 Bands Person of the year.
	*The Band Masters Report for the 2011 Annual general meeting has been added to the list of PDF reports above.
