On the Tuesday evening of Spetember 29th, 2020 at
appoximately 8:00PM, the band held its Annual General
Meeting. Due to COVID-19 it was a less formal affair.
However, as usual, various issues were discussed and
Office Bearers presented their annual reports. Office
Bearers were also nominated for their positions and
after acceptance of their nominations, were elect
accordingly. Below are the Minutes for the 2019 AGM for

COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Presidents Report:
Ken Cropper (Oral report)
Thank you to the
committee for their work and the spectacular
efforts of Rebecca Wells and Jenni Watts and all
other members and office holders. The band
continues, which in a lot of places in Australia
is touch and go. Thank you to the bandmasters
(Robert Bentley, Michael Bousfield and Ian
Cooper). Jenni will elaborate further on finance
– the sock drive was a success along with the
New Years Eve and the basketball. We have done
quite well with the basketball, providing a
variety of music and being requested to return
and being asked to participate in the NBL. Also
great to see us supporting a variety of singers.
Once again, our
development band did well at the eisteddfod this
year as did other groups. It is good to see
members from Leighland Christian School coming
along. Thank you to Michael and Ian for their
efforts.
I Continue to be
amazed at the variety of music the band are able
to play.

Librarian Report:
Provided by Tanya Michalek – Read by Rebecca
Wells
I would like to
thank Kathy for her ongoing and invaluable
support in helping out with the sorting and
filing of music and helping out in the library.
It is a big task and Kathy has never once
complained or said she would not help. I
would also like to thank all of the band members
that helped sort out the blue music folders
during the year.
In general, band
members are now sorting out music for their
folders and for members who are absent when new
music is handed at practice. It certainly
helps me out and less music is being misplaced.
Please keep up the great work you all do in
helping the librarian.

- Our instrument

- A lot of time
was spent cleaning and organising the band rooms
earlier in the year – thank you to all those who
spent considerable time helping out over our
cleaning bee weekend.
- It is important
that we continue to work on maintaining and
steadily developing our instrument collection as
we have done over the last few years.
