Hello everyone.This has been our
home for the last 5 months or more. The Burnie
Salvation Army Hall. Thanks to the genorosity of the
Burnie Salvatio Army and our connection to the
Salvos through the band membership of Salvos pastor
Andrew Webb, we have enjoyed this space. It has provided
a vital home for the band now that our old band room
at Parsonage Point (demolished to makeway for UTas
development) is no more.It is well known that a
building built by UTas that was to house the band
turned out to be unsuitable. There was no seperate
small practice room, storage room or space to house
the trailer. Significantly a brief test of playing
band music in the proposed room also showed the
acoustics to be unsuitable with the decibel level to
be above what is acceptable. A possible future of a
new band room on a greenfield site in Cooee still
exists, however for the time being this is our home:
